My favorite hotel is the Knob Hill Inn. They have a shuttle that will pick you up from the airport. The hotel is just on the edge of town and you can walk everywhere to shops, Starbucks, restaurants, etc. We stay there over the 4th of July and during the winter when school is out for Chinese New Year. One of the best restaurants in town is The Grill at the Knob Hill. Instead of bread they have fresh popovers with honey butter…so good! The hotel also offers a complimentary breakfast. Our other favorite restaurant is The Pioneer. You need to go early or expect a long wait. It’s always busy.
We spend our Christmas vacation at the Polo Beach Club in Wailea. We stay there so often my parents bought one of the condos. Itâs located on a quiet end of the beach and a beach path will take you by all the big ocean front hotels. Along the path are walkers, runners, parents with baby strollers and even a few weddings! My parents walk the path to Starbucks every morning but my grandma prefers the shorter walk up to the coffee shop at the Fairmont Hotel. Some nearby restaurants are Mulligans on the Blue (Irish Pub/Sports bar) with nightly entertainment, Monkeypod Kitchen and a handful of restaurants at The Shops at Waileaâ¦Tommy Bahama restaurant, Longi’s, Ruth’s Chris, etc. You donât want to miss The Honolulu Cookie Co. or Lapperts for ice cream in waffle cones.
Hi! My name is Clemente. I’m 16 years old and was born in Bellevue, WA but, because of my dad’s business, I’ve lived most of my life in Shanghai, China. I have a younger brother and sister and we’ve spent most of our school vacations traveling all over the world. After every trip I am full of stories and information about places we visited, great restaurants and food finds, special shops, hotels and unique experiences. This blog is to share what I’ve discovered and to help you plan your own travel adventure!
